rclone GUI for macOS & Windows — no command line

OurClone is a desktop GUI for rclone. Connect cloud drives, object storage, WebDAV, SFTP and NAS, then transfer, mount and back up — all without typing rclone commands.

Overview

rclone is powerful, but its command line is a barrier for many people. OurClone puts a clean desktop interface on top of rclone (and restic) so you can connect remotes, browse them, move files across them, mount them as local folders, and run encrypted backups — without memorizing flags or editing config files.

A desktop GUI on top of rclone

rclone is the engine behind cross-cloud file management — but running it means terminal commands, hand-edited config files, and remembering flags. OurClone wraps that engine in a desktop app for macOS and Windows, so the same connections, transfers and mounts happen through buttons and dialogs instead of the command line.

Under the hood OurClone calls rclone directly, so you keep its reliability and broad provider support while skipping the setup friction.

Connect many major cloud providers

Add remotes through guided connection dialogs — OAuth sign-in for consumer drives, access keys for object storage, URL and credentials for WebDAV, SFTP and NAS. OurClone supports many major providers and keeps expanding:

  • Cloud drives — Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, Mega, pCloud, Proton Drive, Yandex Disk, and more.
  • S3-compatible object storage — Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO, DigitalOcean Spaces, Storj, and others.
  • WebDAV — NextCloud, OwnCloud, IceDrive, FastMail and generic WebDAV.
  • Servers & local network — SFTP, FTP, and SMB/NAS.

See the full list on the supported cloud storage page.

What you can do without the terminal

  • Transfer & sync — copy, move or sync folders between any two locations, with live progress, speed and ETA.
  • Mount — mount a remote folder as a local directory so cloud files show up in Finder or File Explorer (requires macFUSE on macOS or WinFsp on Windows).
  • Encrypted backup — create password-protected restic repositories locally or on a cloud remote, then back up and restore folders.
  • Browse — open remote directories with breadcrumbs and caching, and create new folders.

Why a GUI instead of raw rclone?

  • No config files or flags — connections are guided, step by step.
  • A visual Task Center shows progress, speed, ETA, failed files, and lets you cancel running jobs.
  • Tasks are persisted and recovered after a crash or restart, so you always know what ran.
  • Pro users can save scheduled transfer or backup jobs to run automatically on a one-time, weekly, or monthly basis.

If you already love the rclone command line, OurClone doesn't replace it — it gives the rest of your team a way to use the same remotes without learning it.

Platforms & requirements

OurClone ships as a native desktop app for macOS and Windows. Most features work out of the box. Mounting a remote as a local drive relies on a system component — macFUSE on macOS or WinFsp on Windows — which you install once.

Frequently asked questions

Does OurClone support every rclone provider?

OurClone supports many of the major rclone providers and keeps adding more. Check the cloud storage list for current coverage.

Is it free?

Yes — there's a free plan (up to 2 remotes, 2 backup repositories, and 2 concurrent tasks). Pro raises those limits and unlocks scheduled jobs. See pricing.

Does my data pass through your servers?

No. Transfers run on your own computer between you and the provider — OurClone is local-first.
